This Uganda Rwenzori Mountain Natural comes from the Rwenzori Mountain region (Southwest Uganda). It grows by several small-scale farmers, who are part of the Great Lakes Coffee Cherry Selection Program. The goal of this program, founded in 2017, is to pay higher prices to farmers instead of selling unripe, unpeeled cherries. In less than two years, this program already produce unique natural coffees. In the western region of Uganda, a total of 10,902 small farmers belong to the program.
Taste a complex and unique cup that is aromatic and sweet. Look for notes of dried fruits like plum with nutty notes of walnuts. Next to those this coffee shows a balanced sweetness with a winey body.
